Anadikia
Anadikia is a modern all-day festival containing three rituals dedicated to the Olympians in the morning (the meditation for this ritual is here), the Nature Divinities in the afternoon, and the Underworld Deities in the evening (ritual script unavailable). For general information on Anadikia, visit the Hellenic Pagan organization Neokoroi's Anadikia website here.
Apaturia
This is the Apaturia ritual pamphlet we handed out at Twin Cities' Pagan Pride 2005. The Apaturia Festival brings together the diverse members of families to honor family gods--especially Zeus Phratrios and Athene Phratria--and to mark changes in the lives of families through birth, coming of age, and marriage. We celebrate this festival in honor of those who are family by way of spirit, blood, and friendship.
Aphrodisia
In our celebration of the Aphrodisia Festival, we rejoice in and honor the beauty of seaborne Aphrodite, goddess of joy, love, pleasure, procreation, and grace. This festival was written with a great deal of help from Artemis Mounykhia Proto-Demos and Eranos' Aphrodisia for Aphrodite Morpho.
Elaphebolia
Elaphebolia is a festival honoring Artemis Elaphebolios ("Deer Shooter") where offerings of stag-shaped cakes called "elaphoi" are made to the Goddess. Because most historical information for this festival has been lost, we celebrate it as a devotional rite for Artemis in her role as hunter and protector of wildlife and as the leader of the Nymphs who also protect the wild places of the world.
Gamelia I
Gamelia, also know as the Theogamia ("marriage of the gods"), celebrates the wedding of Hera and Zeus.
Gamelia II
A second Gamelia festival honoring Hera and Zeus' sacred union and celebrating the beauty of commitment in partnership.
Hermaia Enodia
A festival honoring
Heart-Delighting Hermes, focusing largely on His role as patron of roads and travelers.
Khalkeia
Khalkeia is celebrated in honor of Hephaistos God of the Forge and Athene the Workerwoman. At this gathering, we honor these Deities as patrons of craftwork and craftspeople, and we ask their blessings for our work.
Panathenaia
The Panathenaia is a festival celebrating the birthday of heroic Athena, Protectress of the City. Hyperborean has written two urban-centric rituals for this festival: first in 2006 (shorter) and then a revised version in 2007 (longer).
Protelia
The Protelia is a modern festival honoring the primeval Hellenic deities, the Protogenoi. These deities, born at the beginning of creation and from Whom all other Hellenic deities descend, include Khronos (Time), Eros (Procreation), Ananke (Necessity), Nyx (Night), Hemera (Day), Gaea (Earth), Ouranos (Sky), and Pontos (Sea).
Thargelia
Thargelia is a purification-themed festival in honor of Apollon. It takes its name from the sacrifice of the first fruits loaf, thargelos. The focus of this festival is on the community and renewal of community connections as well as asking for a bounteous harvest. Hyperborean has written two rituals for this festival: first in 2007 and then in 2008.
Theodaisia
A festival celebrating Dionysos' annual arrival in Delphi.
Toast to the Marriage of Golden Aphrodite and Hephaistos Of Many Arts
A shorter festival in honor of the divine union of Hephaistos and Aphrodite.
